ALOR SETAR: The Bangladeshi construction worker found brutally murdered in Kampung Pengkalan Lebai Man, Sungai Petani, was dismembered into six pieces by his assailants.
State CID chief Senior Asst Comm Mior Faridalatrash Wahid said a post-mortem showed that Azad Late Mofyan Uddin, 38, was stabbed in the head and neck.
“He was then cut up with a sharp and heavy object before the pieces were placed into three sacks and hidden in a kitchen cabinet.”
On Tuesday, the dismembered body was found after his 31-year-old girlfriend lodged a missing person’s report. He had been missing for five days.
Police are now looking for his two housemates, also Bangladeshis, to assist in investigations.
They are Md Julfikar, 37, a helper at a frozen food shop and Nur, 50, a factory worker.
