It says supply of medicines using the Electronic Medical Automation Supply System (e-MASS) has stopped as the contract of the company providing the service, Oratis Rx Sdn Bhd, has ended.
PUTRAJAYA: The Public Service Department (PSD) today stressed that the supply of medicine and medical equipment to pensioners and pensioned veterans has not been stopped as claimed in a viral message.
In a statement issued today, the PSD said the supply of medicines and medical equipment could be obtained through prescription by government medical officers at the health ministry’s facilities and university hospital.
If there are any problems concerning the supply of these items, the government pensioners and pensioned veterans can contact the PSD at Tel: 03-88854099/4037/4014 (officer hours) or email to mypesara@kwap.gov.my, it said.
On the supply of medicines and medical equipment to government pensioners and pensioned veterans through the Electronic Medical Automation Supply System (e-MASS), the PSD said the contract of the company providing the service, Oratis Rx Sdn Bhd, ended on Jan 27 this year.
The company had been providing the service since Jan 26, 2012.
PSD said the service was continued for an interim period until Feb 27.
