MTUC Pusat yang diwakili oleh Sdra J Solomon dan beberapa pegawai MTUC yang lain telah menghadiri mesyuarat berkenaan pertikaian Perjanjian Bersama di antara Kesatuan Sekerja Industri Elektronik Wilayah Utara Semenanjung Malaysia (KSIEWUSM) yang diwakili oleh Presiden nya, Sdra Mohd Razi dan beberapa AJK Kesatuan lain, manakala pihak pengurusan Infineon Technologies Kulim pula diwakili oleh Presiden dan Pengarah Urusan, Encik Ng Kok Tiong. Turut hadir sebagai pemudahcara didalam perbincangan ini adalah Encik Nor Zulhilmie, Pengarah JPP Kedah/Perlis. Perbincangan telah diadakan di Bilik Mesyuarat Infineon Kulim pada petang tadi yang bermula jam 2.30petang dan berakhir pada jam 5.50petang.
Tujuan mesyuarat ini diadakan adalah kerana berlakunya kebuntuan di dalam perbincangan bersama yang telah diadakan sebelum ini. MTUC telah dipanggil untuk sama-sama menyelesaikan kebuntuan ini dengan mengadakan mesyuarat sebelum bermulanya piket yang telah dirancangkan sebelum ini. Mesyuarat dijalankan dengan baik sekali di mana kedua dua pihak telah menyuarakan punca pertikaian yang wujud semasa perbincangan yang lepas. Pihak MTUC berpendapat yang pihak pengurusan Infineon Kulim sememangnya serius untuk berbincang semula dengan pihak Kesatuan di meja rundingan. Keprihatinan dan keikhlasan pihak pengurusan yang diwakili oleh Encik Ng KT jelas menunjukkan kesungguhan mereka dalam memeterai Perjanjian Bersama yang ke-2 ini secepat yang mungkin.
Sdra J Solomon dalam kenyataannya telah menegaskan bahawa adalah penting untuk kedua dua pihak berbincang semula di meja rundingan dengan segera demi kebaikan kedua-dua pihak,kerana kesemua ahli kesatuan adalah golongan pekerja yang terdiri dari golongan B40 dan M40. Ini adalah amat penting demi memastikan kebajikan mereka dijaga dengan baik.
Di akhir perbincangan tersebut, kedua dua pihak bersetuju untuk meneruskan kembali rundingan pada 30 Mac 2020. Seminggu sebelum tarikh mesyuarat tersebut, kedua dua pihak perlu menghantar cadangan yang terkini untuk perbincangan seterusnya. Majikan juga bersetuju dan berjanji untuk membayar “backpay” bermula pada 1 Januari 2020 sekiranya berlaku kelewatan dalam menandatangani Perjanjian Bersama yang baru. Disamping itu juga, kedua belah pihak optimis yang perbincangan Perjanjian Bersama ini akan diselesaikan pada akhir bulan April 2020 ini.
