Globalisation has turned human resources into the most lucrative commodity
to be exported and exploited for profit and its effect has been the most damning
on hundreds of thousands of women migrant workers from the Asian countries who
are subjected to abuse and rights violations, says Irene Fernandez, winner of
the 2005 Right Livelihood Award.
