Fuel prices up for first week of August

PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices are up by four and six sen for the first week of August.
The price of RON95 will rise to RM2.07 per litre from RM2.03 per litre previously while RON97 will rise to RM2.32 per litre from RM2.28 per litre previously.
Diesel will go up by six sen to RM2.05 per litre from RM1.96 per litre previously.
The new prices will be effective from Thursday to next Wednesday.
The weekly fuel pricing mechanism came into effect in April this year and the prices of petrol and diesel had been placed on a managed monthly float system since Dec 1, 2014, following the removal of fuel subsidies.
