Malaysia is one of Asia's biggest employers of foreign labour. But recently, cases of deaths, abuse and forced labour have come to light. What is going on? Who is protecting these migrant workers?
Goh Swee Meng, 35, said his two Nepalese workers were picked up by Rela personnel about 1am on Dec 19 and later handed over to the Immigration Department.

He claimed that the workers were taken away by the Rela personnel despite being shown valid documents when they raided the farm at Permatang Tinggi.

He said he had submitted 14 different documents demanded by the Immigration officers but they kept asking him to return at a later date.

Goh claimed that he had made six visits to the department’s headquarters in Seberang Jaya since his workers were detained.

State Immigration officials could not be reached for comments.
